How the 2020 Census Impacts Our Community

"The results of the 2020 Census will help determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding flow into communities every year for the next decade. That funding shapes many different aspects of every community, no matter the size, no matter the location." (census.gov)  Funding for educational programs, school lunches, highways, state grants, medicaid, prevention & treatment for substance abuse, and many other important areas are impacted by our participation in the 2020 Census.

DTE 2020 Tree Trimming Map

During 2020, DTE Energy is planning to trim trees within the City of Melvindale.  The areas they will be trimming are shaded green on the map linked below.  Additional tree work may be necessary based on circuit performance to improve reliability.  Severe weather, or other circumstances may change the timing and extent of the work.
